Produce Row

UPDATE: 6/19/08

BunsOfGlory keeps us moving:

Had a very good taste to it... good amount of lettuce, ketchup & mayo on it already, really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it (that's right, finally not hatin' on a burger!).

Pickles & Ammo and Hamburgler conduct important burger business while on lunch.

Pickles & Ammo went with the first burger up there. "The Roundtripper" is a 1/2 pounder of Painted Hills Natural Beef on a Ciabatta bun. He had "deluxe" which adds grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon or canadian bacon (our Northern pork featured in the picture). Opted to go with the chips at $8.50. He had a hard time holding onto this thing and theorized that it had:
..just a little too much lube..

Hamburgler had a "Produce Row Burger" with the "deluxe" option as well. Pretty straight up burgering here, but served on a hoagie roll. Took it down for $7.75 with fries.

Oba

Sheesh, and you thought you wouldn't see anymore until the 32nd of Never-ary:

BunsOfGlory, Sir Burgers-A-Lot & WhopperChomper hit Oba over in the pearl to take in their new lunch time service and try out the burger. The Oba burger is $10, comes with white cheddar, fresh cut tomato salsa, lettuce, aioli & papas fritas (that means french fries). Bonus pickle! It wasn’t bad... The fresh-cut salsa was an interesting twist and makes you feel like you’re getting some veggies.

Oba only serves the burger in the dining room during lunch, but you can get it on the bar menu as well...

Buffalo Wild WIngs

BunsOfGlory might just be a hater, but its hard not to love the business savvy it takes to cut costs with Bud Bowl glassware:

SirBurgersALot and I hopped into the local Buffalo Wild Wings for a burger and a beer. It was just about the plainest burger I've ever had. Absolutely nothing special. The fries tasted like those that I buy in the supermarket.

Worse than Huber's. Believe it

Muu Muu's

UPDATE: 3/20/08

Our first burger anatomy.....next up diorama's (think about it):

WhopperChomper, BunsOfGlory & Sir Burgers A Lot duck into Muu Muu's after a little St. Paddy's Day revelry to soak up the beer with a little Muu Muu burger action ($6).

Luckily, Muu Muu's puts their fries right in the burger so you don't even have to debate whether or not to get fries on the side! The result is starchy, carb-ey goodness. That special mayo or spiced ketchup or whatever it is they put on there really makes the Muu Muu burger a tasty delight. Note to the owners of Muu Muu's – with such a perfectly packaged burger/fry combination that's suitable for walking around with, WhopperChomper suggests opening a window on the street for to-go orders.

Hamburgler:

Don't let those images fool you. Thats a burger. Non-traditional, but a burger none-the-less. Its been cut in half and spread out on that roll.

As you might of noticed there are fries in that burger. Yep, it makes for quite a calorie explosion. American cheese as well. What really makes this thing shine is the roll that has been grilled, some kind of spiced mayo, and what I think is white pepper.

It's different, it's delicious, and it's $6.00.

Elmer's

BunsOfGlory brings us back to Portland:

Got a milkshake (strawberry is the choice of milkshake champions) and a "Base Camp Burger" at the Elmer's Restaurant located at the Strip-Mall 205 / Gateway fringe area. Despite the oval-like bun shape (AND two toothpicks in there), I thought it was pretty tasty. Came with Elmer's "secret sauce" (that sounds gross) which is a hybrid of thousand island / mayonnaise.

Put a 'lil ketchup on the "Base Camp Burger" and you have yourself a pretty darn good hamburger.

Huber's

Sir Burgers-A-Lot (from PDX Pipeline) and BunsOfGlory are hard to please:

Sir Burgers A Lot: I had the bacon cheeseburger. If this is what burgers always tasted like, I would quit them. $eight

BunsOfGlory: Extremely plain-tasting burger. I had a "cajun" burger and it tasted like a normal burger. Very unimpressed.

Rialto

New burgerer (is that a word?) BunsOfGlory keeps us downtown:

Got this burger from the Rialto Cafe. Pretty sizable.

I knew it was going to be delicious because the bottom bun was soaked with grease. Yum yum.
