Humdinger

This burger shack should be on everyone's must visit list. The above bacon cheeseburger really did the trick, and the crinkle cut fries were perfect.

Humdingers is primarily a burger shack, and has a wide selection of all the regular toppings. They have something called the "Chuck Wagon" which is actually a Chicken Fried Steak (Whoa!). Also the "Pizza Burger" is calling my name with Chicken Fried Steak, pizza sauce, and cheese. They also have a selection of Hot Dogs, Sides, Fish N' Chips, and Sandwiches.

What is awesome is that you get free fries, tater-tots, chips, chili, green salad, soup, or potato salad with any regular burger.

Notice while you are there the use of puff paint on many an item. Including a t-shirt of Calvin doing some business on the McDonald's logo.

If you have any pics of Humdinger burgers send them our way and we will post them up.

I've never been too impressed with Humdinger. Your photo kind of tells the story for me: undercooked fries, bun that falls apart, crappy lettuce, etc. Not bad for a burger joint, but not good either.

I disagree with Nick (msg) on Humdinger, love the place, but agree with his post on another place. This site could be a little more critical. Seems you love everyplace -- A & L? That place is a mess. Humdinger is good.

Humdingers has the best bacon cheeseburger I have ever had. There is so much bacon that I often have to take off 1/2 just so I can taste the burger. It is good bacon too. Not that junk you get at most places. The portions are great. This is an old school mom and pop burger joint. If you like Romaine lettuce on organic beef this isn't your place.

The shakes are to die for, and homemade soups are the best I have come across in the neighborhood.

New owners have jacked the prices up 40%. Bacon burger, fries and medium shake were $11, now $16.
