Pickles N Ammo has brunch with your mom and lets us know that Milo's City Cafe has a mighty decent burger.

UPDATE: 6/19/08
BunsOfGlory keeps us moving:
Had a very good taste to it... good amount of lettuce, ketchup & mayo on it already, really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it (that's right, finally not hatin' on a burger!).

Pickles & Ammo and Hamburgler conduct important burger business while on lunch.
Pickles & Ammo went with the first burger up there. "The Roundtripper" is a 1/2 pounder of Painted Hills Natural Beef on a Ciabatta bun. He had "deluxe" which adds grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon or canadian bacon (our Northern pork featured in the picture). Opted to go with the chips at $8.50. He had a hard time holding onto this thing and theorized that it had:
..just a little too much lube..

Hamburgler and Pickles N Ammo find some grill:
We are heading into BBQ season and it's time to find some grills. This food library always seemed a bit oddly laid out, but still good for "freestyle" shopping.
You pay at the register inside then take your receipt and order to the grill (kind of like when they had a Taco Bell in the Plaid Pantry). Pretty good burger ranging from around $4.00 to $6.00. They make their own "Jucy Lucy's" as well, but call them "stuffed burgers".
They also have lots of hot dogs (Nathan's) and sausages. The cook brought us some bits of Kung Pao chicken sausage that Pickles N Ammo broke the rule of looking to closely at the contents of a sausage only to find cashew bits. Yum

Hamburgler and Pickles N Ammo have to be running out of options soon:
Eh. Passed on this. It's no beef supreme.
$6.95 for the cheese and fruit of the pig. That other one is a Feta Cheeseburger at $5.95.

Pickles and Ammo has a sunny afternoon snack:
Pretty decent burger. Horrible fries, but what can you expect for $3.75?

CondimentSpreader has the skills to pay the bills (and doesn't rhythm "commercial" with "commercial"):
If you need to pay your comcast bill and find yourself starving on Sandy, you could do worse than grabbing a burg at the Tonic Lounge.
On the "Chef's Specialties" menu, they've got a 'Stuffed Burger' that's pretty darn good. It looks like they take two really thin patties and grill them together with Bleu cheese, pepper bacon and thinly sliced layered ham between them. They also employ that awesome technique of buttering the bun and then grilling it slightly. Very nice. Really thin and long fries with excellent crunch. At $6.75 a pretty nice deal.

Bacon Cheeseburger
Nacho Burger
French Dip Burger (Brawndo for illustrative purposes only)
The Filler
The Western
AmericanCheese (went twice), Hamburgler, and Pickles N Ammo just had to take a road trip to the land where the cars are taller then the signs, Lake Oswego:
They have some fantasy burgers here. They are priced well and the place is everything you could ask a burger joint to be.
That first one is your basic bacon cheeseburger.
The second the "Nacho Burger" with that delicious ballpark nacho cheese, yes nacho cheese (probably works like Burgermeisters theory that getting your face messy just aids in the lubrication to shove the food in your mouth).
Then there is the "French Dip" burger. It was a crowd pleaser (Brawndo: The Thrist Mutilator is not included...it's from Pickles N Ammo's private reserves of novelty beverages).
Pickles N Ammo dove right in on "The Filler", and that was the last thing he ate. Bacon, cheese, ham, two patty's, egg, condiments, and vegetables. Yes that yellow stuff on that bun is an egg yolk explosion. It takes special skills to be able to eat a thing of that magnitude.
The Western is great if you like BBQ sauce, and we sure do.

Looks like a burgler bonanza. PicklesNAmmo, Burgermeister, VeggiePatty, and the Hamburgler splurge:
Fatburger is owned by Portland based Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc. (at least its headquarters) and has a couple celebrity franchisee's like Queen Latifah and Montel Williams, but still not one in Portland to date.
They have 1/2 pounders, 1/3 pounders, baby burgers, fat fries, skinny fries, and homemade onion-rings, real milkshakes, and a salad wedge. Of course you top it with bacon, egg, chili, and cheese as well.
Make no mistake, this is fast food, but they do it a bit better. No complaints here.

Pickles&Ammo and Hamburgler find a proper breakfast somewhere in another long hallway between the Paris and Bally's:
When your theme is French of course all the burgers are titled with "Le". This place has the infamous $777.00 "777 Burger" made with Kobe Beef and Maine Lobster (caramelized onions, brie cheese, crispy prosciutto, and 100-year aged balsamic vinegar served with a bottle of Dom Perigon).
They also have a "gourmet" toppings list of crabmeat, seared Foie Gras, smoked salmon, and grilled shrimp.
Pickles&Ammo had the "Le Paris" up there with brie, caramelized onions, and smoked bacon. Yes, the onion ring tower named after the Eiffel Tower (kind of like if Red Robin was in Paris..........street signs indoors...)
Hamburgler kept it simple. Cheddar burger with Pomme Frites (thought that was Belgian?).
This place was pretty good. The burgers cooked rare, interesting toppings, nice execution. Tab came to about $30 with drinks. Not bad for Vegas.

UPDATE: 3/4/08
Burgermeister and BeefJake:
Burgermeister had an afternoon burger attack and went with BeefJake back to Club 21.
BeefJake had the regular cheeseburger and it must have been delicious because it was gone before Burgermeister could snap a photo.
Burgermeister had the bacon cheese with everything on it, which includes Thousand Island dressing. Yum. The burger dripped all over the fries, which is always a good sign.
There's also a great selection of smooth jams for a smooth Saturday afternoon.
While sitting in one of Portlands finest dining establishments recently, the chef (who shall remain nameless) highly recommended this place as his favorite burger in town (I'm sure much to the horror of the other listening patrons). Well, he was right. This is actually a great burger.
The first one up there is a bacon cheeseburger with all the usual suspects for $7.00 with chips. Add fries, tots, or salad for $1.00
That beast on the last photo is the "Club 21 Specialty Burger". 1/3 lb of "Prime Beef", ham, cheese, egg, bacon, and usual suspects (mayo and thousand island). $7.50 with chips.
They also have a Gardenburger for $6.50

UPDATE: 2/24/07
RareMediumRare (aka Dieselboi) checks in for the last days at the "old" location:
As many of you know, the Virginia Cafe will be closing its longtime location and moving two blocks west. With that move comes an end to an era. Before the move, I had to venture in for a final burger.
I'm no regular, but had enjoyed the food the Virginia had to offer in the past. When I saw the menu, my eyes immediately landed on the burger that for some would be referred to as the "end all be all" burger of a lifetime. Half pound burger with ham, bacon, an egg and all the assorted fixin's along with fries! Yep, the only thing missing was the kitchen sink. When it arrived, I dove in. I could barely get my mouth around the thing for the first bite, but managed and made that burger my bitch! And what a tasty burger it was. Everything, and I mean everything was perfectly tasty. I really hope they keep this on the menu at the new location.
The building they are in is scheduled to be torn down fairly soon, but we have heard they found a new location close by.
Pretty good burger going on here with a whopping 1/2 pound patty. That first one is the "Cajan Jack Burger" with tots, and then an "Avacado Swiss Burger".
They also have a happy hour cheeseburgers everyday from 4pm to 7pm coming in at $4.00 (substitute a Gardenburger for an extra dollar).

Pickles & Ammo and the Hamburgler go International:
Pickles & Ammo had that Lamb Burger (no relation to our own LambBurger) for about $8.00 (you can add Chevre for $1.00). He had some kind of non-sense statement about "it was to compliment the burger on its own, the lamb, the bun, no nothin', it was great". It also came with a little cup of pickled items.
They also have a great club sandwich with Gravlax, bacon, and avocado. Side of soup or salad.
