Lamburger joins the "drift" (a group of lambs) and checks out the new spot on Foster:
This is a new restaurant on Foster Road, but don't let that frighten you. Once inside, you'll definitely forget that you are on Foster. The interior is comfortable, warm, and classy.
The burger at Cava was large, tasty, and served on a homemade bun. The price starts at $8.00 for a hamburger, but I added mushrooms and Gruyere cheese for an additional $2.00. You could also select bacon or cheddar cheese, each for $1.00. Cava throws in lettuce, red onions, and pickle slices on the side. The burger comes with a choice of either green salad or fries. Bonus, the beers here are gigantic.

The basic burger is now $9.00, but still great. Seems like they must grind their own meat, as well as make the buns. The fries are terrific too. Plus, I loved the double hop lava (?) beer from Hopworks. Friendly but not over-bearing service. A cozy place.
It may be proximity (I can walk there in 10 minutes) but Cava's burger is my new pdx favorite. Done perfectly, super juicy, fresh veggies, etc. etc. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart fro Humdinger, but the Cava burger is in a different class and sits near the top.
