News: Mark Lindsay's Rock N' Roll Cafe / Yaw's UPDATED

Looks like Mark Lindsay's Rock N' Roll Cafe has a bit of a problem marketing their burgers as "Yaw's" burgers.

The Oregonian had this report:

Stephen Yaw and his daughter, Heidi Galusha, filed a federal lawsuit today accusing the new restaurant owners of capitalizing on the family name without permission.

We will be going to this establishment soon, and at the same time going across the street to the Hollywood Burger Bar for a little burger-battle action.

UPDATE:

The Portland Tribune gives this a little attention as well:
...and “building procedures” — which, as he explains, is “the order in which each ingredient is added” to make a true Yaw’s Top Notch Burger...

Hmmm...luttuce on the top or bottom? Tough one, but then again you are reading news about hamburgers.

It's an old story, what the grandparents create, the grandkids destroy. We used to travel from seattle just to have a "yaws". It wasnt road changes that killed yaws, it was the changes to the hamberger by the grandkid. On my last visit..the drive in was practically empty. Inside the hostess was folding towels. I ordered a hamberger and what I got had no resemblence to the burger Id loved. I ordered another - this one called "founders special" HA!...burger king comes closer. Don't believe any of the "kids" excuses for destroying what Id have thought was bulletproof.

Its true about Yaws being destroyed, also dont forget the Beaverton Hillsdale Yaws that was the same destroyed, also called "The Sport Page". Missing money from the nights till, with no balances after the nightly receipts were thrown out! So much for the family Yacht when having several affairs with younger women and along with the manager! Aww... those were the days of 1977-78! Ewwww
