Oregon: Jersey Lilly (Roseburg)

The RoseBurger writes in from of all places, Roseburg:

I realize Southern Oregon is far out of the Portland metropolitan
area, but there is a hamburger in Roseburg worth mentioning.

At the Jersey Lilly Tavern -- a hangout for high school football
coaches -- they serve a hamburger called the Frog Burger. While the
burger's size isn't acutally the size of a lilly pad, its toppings and
caloric content more than make up for it.

The Frog Burger features two 1/4-pound patties, a slice of American
cheese and two strips of peppered bacon, but what sets it apart from
others is a slathering of hollandaise sauce.

The Lilly pays homage to Douglas Counties timber heritage with
lumberjack tools and implements like saws, caulk boots and rigging
equipment adorned on the walls.

It's a great place to get a fantastic hamburger. Back in the 80's that place was a fun hangout for teachers, coaches and anyone else wanting to enjoy good company and GREAT HAMBURGERS. Can't beat their FrogBurger...Yummmmmm! Havn't been back since 1988, now living in WA state.
